Counseling Center

Important update as of March 15: Due to precautions related to Covid-19, please contact our office by phone or email for counseling availability.

Message from the Counseling Center staff:

Due to ongoing changes both at the college and the "stay at home" requirements we imagine some of you will be facing personal, academic, and technology challenges.

The Counseling Center staff want Lane students to know we will be available to support you throughout this uncertain time. We are doing all we can to provide no cost/confidential remote delivery of services through the following means:

  • Scheduled appointments via Zoom
  • Google Chat via your Lane Google account
  • Email via your Titan account
  • Moodle for instruction and messaging

No doubt Spring ’20 will be challenging for all of us. With support we can make it through all of this together.

Communication methods for scheduled appointment with a Lane Counselor include email at CounDept@lanecc.edu or (541) 463-3600.

Be well and be safe.

Please monitor the COVID-19 page for all updates.

Our Mission: Counselors proactively provide support that leads to student success and retention. We foster meaningful connections contributing to clearer academic and career direction, as well as increased confidence, self-advocacy, and motivation. Counselors empower students to recognize and overcome internal and external barriers in order to reach their goals. Access, equity, and inclusion principles help us prioritize our efforts.

Personal and Retention Counseling: We provide counseling and resource referrals for students with academic or personal concerns impacting their ability to reach short term and long term goals.

Career Counseling: Through individual counseling, workshops, and Career and Life Planning classes, we help students to clarify their interests, strengths, values, and goals; explore majors and career fields; and develop a vision for their future and next steps.

Substance Abuse Prevention: Lane provides drop-in substance abuse prevention services for all students, staff, and faculty. This includes support groups and/or information on a variety of addictive behavior concerns.

Free same day or future appointments can be made by calling or coming into our Center (see below).
