LearningExpress Test Preparation

LearningExpress Library is a free resource through the Oregon State Library intended to help students and adult learners improve the skills required for academic and career success.

How can LearningExpress be used for testing?

LearningExpress provides:

  • Test Preparation in an extensive list of programs, including Lane Community College Testing Support Services content - Accuplacer, GED, and GED en español.
    • Tutorials and eBooks on numerous topics, including a comprehensive introduction to the new GED.
    • Practice Tests are used to provide detailed feedback indicating areas of strength and those that needs of improvement.
  • Computer Literacy assistance programs, covering topics including operating system use, and Microsoft Office proficiency training (Just to name a couple). 

Steps for using LearningExpress - Accuplacer

  1. Follow the link to the LearningExpress College Center.
  2. If you have not registered for an account, select "Register" in the upper right hand corner. Fill out the required items (Student ID and Course Number optional). Otherwise, if you have registered, select "Log In".
  3. On the menu bar, activate the "Resources" drop down and select "Prepare for College Placement Exams".
  4. On the left side bar, choose the Next-Generation Accuplacer practice test (Reading or Writing) you wish to complete under "Accuplacer Preparation".
  5. Two practice tests are available for each test type. Choose one of the two practice tests available for the desired section by selecting "Launch".
  6. After reviewing the detailed information about your selected test, choose either "Practice" or "Learner" as a test type, and then select "Start Test".

Steps for using LearningExpress - GED

  1. Follow the link to the High School Equivalency Center.
  2. If you have not registered for an account, select "Register" in the upper right hand corner. Fill out the required items (Student ID and Course Number optional). Otherwise, if you have registered, select "Log In".
  3. On the menu bar, activate the "Resources" drop down and select "Prepare for the GED Test" (o "GED en español").
  4. On the left side bar, choose the introduction or test section you wish to work on. Tutorials and eBooks are avaiable for all selections, practice tests for the test sections.
  5. Two practice tests are available for each test type. Choose one of the two practice tests available for the desired section by selecting "Launch".
  6. After reviewing the detailed information about your selected test, choose either "Simulation", "Practice", or "Learner" as a test type, and then select "Start Test".
