Earn up to $1,500 during your 2025-2026 Come Back Year, simply by successfully completing the courses you need to graduate!
We want you back!
We may not know your reasons for stepping away from your educational goals, but we do know some ways we can support your 2025-2026 Come Back Year!
If you had to stop pursuing your degree or certificate at Lane in Spring '25 term or earlier, this opportunity is for you!
With several learning modalities to choose from—in person, online, or a little of both—we aim to meet your scheduling needs. Lane offers many free student resources for academic & personal support. If you’d like to be connected with a College Achievement Coach to help you get started, please email collegeachievementcoaches@lanecc.edu - be sure to mention you are intending to apply for the Welcome Back Scholarship.
Are you ready?
Step 1:
If you have not attended Lane for four or more terms, please apply for "Readmission" to reclaim your student L Number & student email account prior to submitting your scholarship application. NOTE: if you apply in person at main campus, we can provide a waiver code for the $25 application deposit. You may email asklane@lanecc.edu if you have any questions on obtaining your Lnumber and/or student email.
> Once you've reclaimed your student L Number & student email, go to Step 2.
If you have an outstanding balance at Lane, please connect with Bursar to arrange a payment plan. You may stop by Building 1 or email bursar@lanecc.edu. Be sure to note you intend to apply for the Welcome Back Scholarship, which may apply to your balance!
> Once your payment plan has been arranged, go to Step 2.
Step 2:
- Reconnect with Academic Advising to help you create an Individual Academic Plan (IAP) for your comeback year at Lane!
- Find your Advising Team: search for your program of study within a career community, where you will find your advisor's email.
Find the Advising Team schedule: you will see drop-in availability for in person and Zoom!
> Once you have your IAP, go to Step 3
Step 3:
- Register for the Fall '25 courses on your IAP prior to the first day of term!
Step 4:
- Apply for the Welcome Back Scholarship here! Applications are due October 10, 2025 by 5:00pm. MUST be submitted with your Lane student email to be considered.
- Scholarships are given on a first-in basis and funds are limited. To qualify, steps 1-3 must be completed prior to submitting your scholarship application.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified via their Lane student email.
- Note: If you are a Foundation Scholarship Award Recipient, you may not be eligible for the Welcome Back Scholarship.
We'll follow your successful progression
When you continue reaching for your degree or certificate, Lane's Welcome Back Scholarship continues right beside you. Successfully complete Fall '25 & Winter '26 and you will automatically be awarded $500 per term, once we verify you've met Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements per term. Your funds will be available for the next term's registration. That means you have the opportunity to earn $1,500 during your 2025-2026 Come Back Year!
