If you attended Lane but had to pause your education for Spring 2026 or earlier, and still have a degree or certificate to complete at Lane, this opportunity is for you!
Deadline
This scholarship is for students returning to Lane in Fall 2026. The application deadline is October 9, 2026 by 5:00pm.
Award Amount
$500 per term ($1,500 total), see Disbursement below.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You are returning to Lane in Fall 2026.
- You have a degree or certificate to complete at Lane.
- You did not take any credit courses in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026 terms.
- You have completed an Individual Academic Plan for the full academic year with an academic advisor.
- You register for a minimum of 3 credits per term to remain eligible.
- You complete 67% of your attempted credits earning a 2.0 GPA or greater in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 to remain eligible.
Application Instructions
Step 1:
If you have not attended Lane for four or more terms, please apply for "Readmission" to reclaim your student L Number & student email account prior to submitting your scholarship application. NOTE: if you apply in person at main campus, we can provide a waiver code for the $25 application deposit. If you need assistance, please call 541-463-3100.
> Once you've reclaimed your student L Number and student email, go to Step 2.
If you have an outstanding balance at Lane, please connect with Bursar/Student Accounts to arrange a payment plan. You may stop by Building 1 or email bursar@lanecc.edu. Be sure to note you intend to apply for the Welcome Back Scholarship, which may be applied to your outstanding balance!
> Once your payment plan has been arranged, go to Step 2.
Step 2:
- Reconnect with Academic Advising to help you create an Individual Academic Plan (IAP) for your comeback year at Lane!
- Find your Advising Team: search for your program of study within a career community, where you will find your advisor's email.
Find the Advising Team schedule: search for drop-in availability for in person or virtual!
> Once you have your IAP, go to Step 3
Step 3:
- Register for the Fall '26 courses on your IAP prior to the first day of term!
Step 4:
- Apply for the Welcome Back Scholarship here! Applications are due October 9, 2026 by 5:00pm. MUST be submitted with your Lane student email to be considered.
- Scholarships are given on a first-in basis and funds are limited. To qualify, steps 1-3 must be completed prior to submitting your scholarship application.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified via their Lane student email.
- Note: If you are a Lane Foundation Scholarship Award Recipient, you may not be eligible for the Welcome Back Scholarship.
Disbursement
Receive $500 in your student account just for returning to Lane in Fall 2026! Awards begin disbursing the third week of the term.
When you continue reaching for your degree or certificate, Lane's Welcome Back Scholarship continues right beside you! Successfully complete Fall '26 & Winter '27 and you will automatically be awarded $500 per term.
NOTE: Awards will be disbursed to your student account after grades post in Fall and Winter, respectively. Each term, you must complete 67% of your attempted credits earning a 2.0 GPA or higher to remain eligible for the Welcome Back Scholarship. Your funds will be available for the next term's registration!
