Lane Community College’s Respiratory Care program will give you the critical knowledge and hands-on skills to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Respiratory Therapy is a fast-paced, technology-driven field with exceptional job stability and a clear path to advancement.

The Respiratory Care program prepares you to become an integral member of the healthcare team, specializing in treating patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. From the newest newborns to the elderly, you'll help all kinds of patients take their next breath.
At Lane, you'll master the use of life support technology, advanced diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions under the guidance of experienced faculty and through strong clinical partnerships. We prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).
Unlike many other respiratory therapy programs, you'll graduate Lane with training in:
Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

AFTER LANE
Our Respiratory Care program will prepare you for registration exams to become an RRT. Afterwards, you'll be ready for a rewarding career that saves lives!
You can also use your RRT credential to pursue a bachelor's degree in healthcare management or prepare for advanced clinical and educational leadership roles.
Respiratory Therapists work in Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Emergency Rooms (ERs), neonatal units, sleep disorder clinics and more. You can specialize in fields like Pulmonary Rehabilitation, home care, or air/ground transport teams. This fast-paced, technology-driven career path helps many different patients, with one thing in common: you'll be the reason they take their next breath.

Accreditation
LCC is currently seeking accreditation through Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). We cannot guarantee accreditation at this time.
