Complete the ESL Application
Once you complete your application, you'll receive a confirmation email. You can then log into the admissions portal to check the status of your application and see your next steps. Once your application has been processed, you'll receive your L-Number (Student ID Number) and student email. You'll need your L Number to complete the rest of the admissions steps. If you need help with this form, contact the ESL office at email@example.com or 541-463-5253.
Take a placement test
All students, no matter their current English ability, can take English as a Second Language classes at Lane Community College. All new students need to take a placement test to determine the best level for them to begin. The tests assess a student’s ability in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. If you need any assistance, contact the ESL office at (541) 463-5253 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After your application has been processed, find a link to placement testing in your application portal
Step 3: Claim Your Student Email and Satisfy the Requirements of LCC’s Vaccination Policy
If you're applying for Summer, after you've claimed your student email account in myLane, we'll email you a link to complete the vaccination status reporting form. This link will be unique to you, so be sure not to share it with anyone else. Find the latest information on our COVID-19 vaccination page.
If you're applying for Fall, there is no need to complete the vaccination status reporting form. But be sure to sign in to myLane to claim your email. This will be the primary email address we use to communicate with you while you’re a student.
