Take a placement test

All students, no matter their current English ability, can take English as a Second Language classes at Lane Community College. All new students need to take a placement test to determine the best level for them to begin. The tests assess a student’s ability in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. If you need any assistance, contact the ESL office at (541) 463-5253 or email at eslstudentservices@lanecc.edu.

After your application has been processed, find a link to placement testing in your application portal

Step 3: Claim Your Student Email and Satisfy the Requirements of LCC’s Vaccination Policy

If you're applying for Summer, after you've claimed your student email account in myLane, we'll email you a link to complete the vaccination status reporting form. This link will be unique to you, so be sure not to share it with anyone else. Find the latest information on our COVID-19 vaccination page.

If you're applying for Fall, there is no need to complete the vaccination status reporting form. But be sure to sign in to myLane to claim your email. This will be the primary email address we use to communicate with you while you’re a student.
