Determine when you want to take ESL courses
We offer daytime intensive ESL courses, an evening community ESL program, and a ESL to credit bridge program.
Complete the ESL Application
Once you complete your application, you'll receive a confirmation email. You can then log into the admissions portal to check the status of your application and see your next steps. Once your application has been processed, you'll receive your L-Number (Student ID Number) and student email. You'll need your L Number to complete the rest of the admissions steps. Take a placement test
All students, no matter their current English ability, can take English as a Second Language classes at Lane Community College. All new students need to take a placement test to determine the best level for them to begin. The tests assess a student’s ability in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
