Lane Community College educates over 25,000 students annually at six locations across Lane County and online. Students and alumni from all 50 states and 79 countries create more than an $850 million dollar impact on the local economy, helping to support more than 13,000 local jobs. Lane provides affordable, quality, professional technical and college transfer programs; business development and employee training; academic, language and life skills development; and lifelong personal development and enrichment courses. Lane is led by a seven person elected Board of Education, which has primary authority for establishing policies governing the operation of the college and adopting the college’s annual budget. Dr. Stephanie Bulger joined Lane Community College as its eighth president on July 1, 2022.

Board of Education
The Board of Education has primary authority for establishing policies governing the operation of the college and for adopting the college's annual budget. The board's charge is to oversee the development of programs and services that board members believe will best serve the needs of the people of the Lane Community College district.

Governance
The governance system is charged with planning and policy development for the college and is made up of five councils. Four councils have responsibility for specific college functions. The College Council is charged with overall responsibility for the operation and effectiveness of the system and with specific budget development activities.
