Lane’s accounting program will prepare you to be an indispensable and discerning asset in your future career. Whether you’re looking to transfer to a four year institution, or directly enter the workplace, Lane will prepare you to reach your goals with individualized advising and small classes with instructors who are personally invested in your success. With the option to take your classes online or in person, you’ll have the flexibility to complete your degree the way that works best for you.
The accounting program at Lane can help prepare you to transfer to a four year institution to work toward a career in accounting. Once enrolled, you’ll work with your advisor to build a degree plan specific to your goals.
The two-year Associate of Science Oregon Transfer (ASOT) degree you’ll earn will be a stepping stone to a four year program. While at Lane, you’ll work with your advisor to develop a transfer plan to your future 4-year institution. You’ll be able to start with junior status at any Oregon public school. You can also take advantage of our articulation agreement which allows you to directly transfer to Bushnell University.

If a business doesn’t have a strong understanding of money, it won’t last very long. With your accounting degree, you’ll help ensure a business will thrive. If you’re earning your AAS in accounting, along the way you’ll earn a one-year business assistant certificate, without taking any extra classes! This certification will propel you towards your accounting degree while also demonstrating you understand the functions of business to prospective employers.
Business Assistant Certificate
If you’re earning your AAS in accounting, by also taking either CS 120 or CIS 101, you'll earn this certificate automatically.
