The bond has prioritized sustainability, one of our core values, through a series of forward-thinking projects designed to reduce environmental impact and promote energy efficiency. These projects can be divided into two categories, upgrades to existing buildings and designs for new buildings.
Upgrades:
- Major LED lighting retrofit for the Building 5 locker room and common areas
- Replacement and relocation of our campus compressed air system
- Renewable energy projects at Florence and main campus (dependent on a matching state grant)
New Buildings:
- Designing for LEED certification
- Using local products in new
- Implementing state-of-the-art, efficient heating and cooling systems
- Using LED lighting
- Creating rain gardens & filtration systems
