Requirements
Meet with a Health Professions academic advisor or email HPAdvising@lanecc.edu to discuss course options.
In order to apply for the RN to BSN Program, you must complete the following prerequisite courses before the program starts in fall.
To be eligible for admission to the program, applicants must have:
- An associate degree in nursing (ADN or ASN)
- Documentation of a current and unencumbered RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) provided to and verified by the LCC BSN program by September 1st, 2027
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 in all undergraduate coursework
Course-specific requirements:**
- 8 Credits of writing (WR121 and higher)
- 4 credits of math (Math 95 or higher)
- 16 credits of science (A&P, Micro, etc)
- 4 credits of social science (PSY, SOC, etc.)
Additionally, the following 2 courses must be completed within one term of starting the program, but are not required for admission to the RN-to-BSN program:
- STAT 243z (Statistics)
- WR 227z (Technical Writing)
**Graduates from the ADN program at LCC will have already met the general education requirements prior to RN to BSN program entry. RNs in the community who did not attend Lane for their ADN may need to complete additional courses to meet the BSN graduation requirements, which follow the Lane Applied Baccalaureate requirements.
Have courses from another college?
Submit Non-Lane Official Transcripts to Enrollment Services:
- All courses from other colleges used as prerequisites must be recorded on your official transcript. It is your responsibility to plan ahead and order transcripts prior to the application deadline.
- Transcripts should be sent to and received by Lane Enrollment Services by the application close date. Submit non-Lane Transcripts.
Request Course Equivalency Evaluation (if needed):
- Courses taken at other colleges may be eligible to use on your application.
- Go to the Enrollment Services website on Transferring Credits and use the “Transfer Tool.”
- If courses do not appear as equivalent, email: HPAdvising@lanecc.edu.
- All prerequisite courses must be completed and appear on your Lane transcript or submitted official non-Lane transcripts prior to September 1st, 2027.
- To start your application, Use your Personal Email, NOT your LCC Email to start the application. Select "I have completed program requirements and am applying to a special admission program."
- You will pay a $35 fee to apply to the RN to BSN program.
- Make sure to click on the final "Submit" button after you review your application.
Please sign and return of all forms and necessary materials sent to you from the program for acceptance and enrollment.
