Jesse has spent years working to improve his community starting at 18 when he was elected to the City Council in his hometown. Since then, he has managed and worked on numerous campaigns to elect leaders and improve his community. Jesse moved to Eugene to pursue further education and attended the University of Oregon, where he received his Master’s in Public Administration in 2023 from the School of Planning, Public Policy, and Management.
Jesse works as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oregon, where he teaches Intro to Public Policy, and as a National Political and Labor Director for the Democratic Municipal Officials. He also serves as a Citizen Member on the Eugene Budget Committee and as the Secretary of the Democratic Party of Oregon.
As an educator and a first-generation college student, Jesse knows firsthand how important it is to provide our communities access to a quality, affordable education that helps folks find their passion and gives them the tools and training they need to succeed.
