Through dance, you grow physically, creatively, and academically. We offer beginner-friendly instruction that provides a welcoming space to grow your movement skills and build a strong physical foundation. Explore fundamental dance techniques, body awareness and anatomy, creative improvisation, and cultural history.
What you'll learn:
- Core Dance Foundations: Gain a welcoming introduction to the essential movements of dance, focusing on rhythm, alignment, and the joy of movement.
- The Science of Motion: Discover how your body works through an introduction to anatomy and kinesiology, learning how to move safely, prevent injury, and improve your physical awareness.
- Creative Expression & History: Explore the world of dance through two lenses: the creative, by practicing spontaneous movement in improvisation, and the cultural, by studying the history and artistry of dance styles from around the globe.
