A clear future
Start your future while working in your field
Take classes at Lane while working as an apprentice glazier.
Prepare for your journeyman card
Glaziers prepare and install various types of glass, mirrors, windows, and aluminum doors. Construction Glaziers cut, fit, and install plate glass windows, mirrors, and specialty glass items in commercial and residential buildings. Some glass workers specialize in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of glass framing systems for storefronts including doors, architectural panels, and sealants.
Our program combines both real world, on-the-job training with classroom learning. The apprenticeship lasts four years. You'll do 144 hours of related training per year and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. Afterward, you can take your licensing exam through the Oregon Building Codes Division. With a few more courses, you can get your associate degree in construction technology.
