Open enrollment for the 2023-24 insurance year has now ended. This page is not being maintained at this time. Please refer to the specific employee group benefit pages for detailed information on the 2023-24 benefit programs offered to LCC employees.

2023-24 Insurance Open Enrollment

Participation in Open Enrollment is Required. All members must make medical, dental and vision plan selections even if no changes are desired. If you don't submit elections during Open Enrollment you may not have coverage after 09/30/2023. Please make your elections, or decline coverage, by September 15, 2023 at MyOEBB. Changes made during open enrollment are effective October 1, 2023 unless otherwise specified.

In addition to a pop-up window with fireworks (if your pop-up blocker is turned off), you will know you have fully finished the process when you see the following benefit statement and confirmation that your selections have been successfully saved:

    • Moda Medical Plans
      • New diabetes care program. Virta will now be available to help you and your covered dependents prevent or reverse type 2 diabetes. Eligible members will receive an invitation from Moda.
      • New interpreter services. You can request an interpreter for in-person or virtual medical appointments. This service is available at no cost to you.

  • What's changing for 2023-24?
    • Reduced insulin costs. Your out-of-pocket insulin costs will be capped at $35 for a 30-day supply.
    • Updated colon cancer screenings. Additional types of colon cancer screenings will be considered preventive and covered at 100%.
    • Expanded e-visit services. Receive virtual care for more conditions, such as respiratory illnesses, anxiety, depression, and physical therapy.
    • Maternity@Home. Meet with your provider for prenatal and postnatal visits via video.
    • KP@Home. Receive hospital-level acute care and clinical services at home for certain conditions.
    • Virtual cardiac rehabilitation. Recover from cardiac issues at home with virtual monitoring by your care team.
    • Expanded naturopathy benefits. The plan will provide naturopathy coverage for dependents who are out of area.

  • What's changing for 2023-24?
    • Services now covered every plan year. Receive an eye exam, lenses, frames, or contacts once per plan year instead of every 12 months. This change will make it easier to use your benefits. Plan coverage stays the same.

Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits

The insurance plan year is October 1 - September 30. With the start of the new insurance year, accumulators (such as deductible, out-of-pocket maximum, alternative care benefits, etc.) start over, or reset to zero, on October 1.

Moda Exception: Any portion of the deductible met in the last 3 months of the plan year (July 1 - September 30) will carry forward to the new plan year.

Classified employees who have other group medical insurance and choose to opt-out of the College's medical, dental, and vision benefits, are eligible to receive a monthly stipend of $200.00 ($100.00 per paycheck). Coverage from the Individual Marketplace, Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid or Student Health Insurance does not qualify for opt-out benefits.

Voluntary Life Insurance

The College paid benefit includes $100,000 of basic life insurance coverage for the employee.

Open enrollment is your opportunity to enroll, make changes, or cancel your voluntary life coverage.

A reduction in coverage, an increase in coverage not exceeding the guarantee issue, or the cancellation of coverage is effective October 1, 2023, and will first affect the check dated September 25, 2023.

Guarantee Issue: If you're already enrolled, you may increase your existing benefit amount by two increments each year, equal to $20,000, up to a maximum of $200,000 total benefit, for employee coverage without answering the Evidence of Insurability Questionnaire.

An increase in coverage amounts above the guarantee issue is effective upon acceptance by The Standard.

Voluntary Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

(applies to active classified employees only)

The College paid benefit includes $100,000 of basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage for the employee.
