From the statues and murals on campus, to the student and community performances in our theatres, to the art galleries and guest speakers, Lane lives and breathes art & culture!
Arts & Cultural Events
Every year, we host a variety of events that bring the community together. Some of our flagship events include the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, the Native American Pow-Wow, and exhibits by local artists in our Art Gallery.
The Performing Arts at Lane
Our music and performing arts departments put on many performances throughout the year, including student showcases, musicals, classic and modern plays, and more.
Denali Literary Arts Magazine
Since 1971, Denali Literary Arts Magazine has published fiction, poetry, and art from the Lane community.
Art Galleries
Our art galleries, located on the ground floor of Building 11, showcase art created by students and faculty, as well as regional, national, and international artists.
Artist Residency
The Jane Stevens King Artist Residency, a prestigious, short-term program at Lane Community College, bridges the gap between professional practice and student learning. Unlike some residencies that only provide space for an artist to work in isolation, with this program artists actively engage with the vibrant LCC community in beautiful Eugene, Oregon.
Through reciprocal learning, resident artists are inspired by fresh art students who are learning their craft, while also sharing your creativity, insight on professional practices, and diverse perspectives.
For information about the application process as well as compensation, contact Brian Haimbach at haimbachb@lanecc.edu.
Art on Campus
While on campus visiting the galleries, you can also take an “Art on Campus” walking tour to view Lane’s outdoor sculptures, murals, paintings, and gardens. Visit campus and use this map to take your personal tour.
