Zone 2 represents the northern Eugene area of the college district.
Zach Mulholland is employed as a contractor with Beyond Toxics, a Eugene Environmental Justice Non-Profit, working to reduce toxic air pollution and address climate change. Zach has previously served as Chair of the Healthy Climate Coalition's Steering Committee working to pass a comprehensive climate bill through the Oregon Legislature, as Chair of the Eugene Sustainability Commission, and founded Divest UO. He currently serves on the Boards of the Many Rivers Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Active Bethel Community Neighborhood Association in Eugene. Zach has been involved in numerous successful environmental campaigns including making his community college the first in the nation to purchase 100% renewable electricity, banning plastic grocery bags in the City of Eugene, getting the University of Oregon Foundation to stop investing in fossil fuel companies, and helping get the City of Eugene to adopt science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets.
