Math Placement Measures

Learn how your math experience will help you get ahead at Lane!

Depending on your area of study, you may not need to report exam scores. Learn more on our Course Placement page.

If you're on the Algebra to Calculus Pathway and have prior college math credit or standardized test score(s) in math, then you can place into a higher-level math class.

  • To receive a math placement based on a college transcript, please email an unofficial copy of your transcript to mathoffice@lanecc.edu
  • To receive a math placement based on a high-school test score, please email mathoffice@lanecc.edu with your L Number, the test name, and the score you received. The tables below show the placement you will receive based on your score.
  • Note: The Math Office can only help with math placement. To receive college credit at LCC for previous classes or exams, please visit the Transferring Prior College Credits to Lane page.
