Need something to do this summer? Want to learn career technical skills? Check out one or more of Lane Community College’s summer early college camps. Your student will actively be participating in their future and it is all free!

2026 Camp Details
- These camps are only for Oregon middle and high school students (Ages 12-18).
- Camps are Monday-Thursday. Lane is closed on Fridays in the summer.
- Due to limited spots, students are not guaranteed a spot in any camp.
- Transportation is on your own. Parking is free at Lane and LTD buses come to our campus.
- Food and drinks are on your own.
- The camps have interest forms that must be filled out by a parent/guardian. Tell us which camp(s) your students prefer. Participants are selected through a lottery. We will notify the parent/guardian as soon as possible if your student is selected for a camp. You have 3 days to confirm their spot.
- A student can only attend one of the listed camps per summer.
High School and Middle School Camp Options 2026
Automotive
Come learn routine maintenance that includes tire changes, brakes, and coolant. Understand basic tools in automotive technology including small engine overhaul tear down and repair of predator 212 engine.
Dress Code: closed toe-shoes and long pants every day

CompuCon
Join our interactive Computer Science camp where you can discuss trending topics with faculty and gain hands-on experience programming games, mobile apps, web pages, and physical devices.

Junior Chefs Academy
Junior Chef Academy gives students an introduction to the kitchen while building culinary skills. Students will work on recipes techniques, and develop teamwork skills in a professional environment. Students will take home what they make each day.
They will also compete in a cooking competition, with a “Chopped” style set up.
Dress Code: Hair tied back, clothes that fully cover legs, non-slip shoes

Media Arts
Brand yourself and/or your own company, real or fictitious, and create a series of product mockups in your brand!; learn how to create an image/identity, incorporating typography and icons, and how to create promotional materials for it for everything from web & social media to apparel and other swag.

Welding
Our Welding camp is back for 2026! Sign up to learn about Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Small Fabrication Projects, Plasma Cutting, and more!
Dress Code: Bring leather gloves, no synthetic clothing, long pants and leather shoes required

Engineering
In this middle school engineering camp, students will learn engineering principles, design and fabrication in a hands-on mechanical engineering project that students will get to take home at the end.
There will be a showcase on the last hour of the last day of camp: 11 AM-12 PM on Thursday, August 20th. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend.

Construction
In this camp, students will learn basic carpentry skills, basic plan reading, and tool and jobsite safety through the construction of various carpentry projects.
