Steps to Enroll for First Time in College Students

How to Apply and Enroll

Welcome to Lane! We're glad you've chosen to enroll as a credit student at Lane. By following these Steps to Enroll, you'll be on your way to fulfilling your academic dreams!

First Time in College students include anyone pursing a degree who hasn't previously attended another college. You're also a First Time College student if you took college classes while in High School. Still not sure? Admissions is ready to help!

Admissions Application

Welcome to Lane! Start by submitting your application at least six business days before the start of your session.

Once you complete your application, you'll receive a confirmation email. You can then log into the admissions portal to check the status of your application and see your next steps. Once your application has been processed, you'll receive your L-Number (Student ID Number) and student email. You'll need your L Number to complete the rest of the admissions steps. If you run into any trouble, or have any questions, reach out to admissions@lanecc.edu.

To be eligible for financial aid, complete the FAFSA. Apply early, as it can take 4-12 weeks to process aid awards once all documents have been received.
