Steps to Enroll for non-degree students

If you'd like to take a class at Lane, but don't need a degree, there's just three steps for you to get started. Remember, the earlier you enroll, the more likely you are to get the classes you need and want, so don’t wait until the last minute to enroll!

Non-degree students take courses at Lane for college credit without earning a degree. Often, that's a student taking classes for personal enrichment. Still not sure? Reach out to the Admissions Office.

Complete the required Lane Admissions Application

  • Once your application is processed you'll receive an email with your Lane Identification Number (L#) and temporary myLane Password within one to three business day for use in Step 3 below.
  • To verify myLane access you'll need to log into myLane and create a permanent password and security questions.
  • Be sure to select "I want to take classes for personal enrichment or professional development, and I do not plan to transfer or earn a degree or certificate" as your program of study!

WHAT YOU NEED

Claim Your Student Email and Satisfy the Requirements of LCC’s Vaccination Policy

If you're applying for Summer, after you've claimed your student email account in ExpressLane, we'll email you a link to complete the vaccination status reporting form. This link will be unique to you, so be sure not to share it with anyone else. Find the latest information on our COVID-19 vaccination page.

If you're applying for Fall, there is no need to complete the vaccination status reporting form. But be sure to sign in to ExpressLane to claim your email. This will be the primary email address we use to communicate with you while you’re a student.
