Steps to Enroll for non-degree students

How to Apply and Enroll

If you'd like to take a class at Lane, but don't need a degree, there's just three steps for you to get started. Remember, the earlier you enroll, the more likely you are to get the classes you need and want, so don’t wait until the last minute to enroll!

Non-degree students take courses at Lane for college credit without earning a degree. Often, that's a student taking classes for personal enrichment. Still not sure? Reach out to the Admissions Office.

Complete the required Lane Admissions Application

Welcome to Lane! Start by submitting your application at least six business days before the start of your session.

Once you complete your application, you'll receive a confirmation email. You can then log into the admissions portal to check the status of your application and see your next steps. Once your application has been processed, you'll receive your L-Number (Student ID Number) and student email. You'll need your L Number to complete the rest of the admissions steps. If you run into any trouble, or have any questions, reach out to admissions@lanecc.edu.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • an email address

Claim Your Student Email and Satisfy the Requirements of LCC’s Vaccination Policy

If you're applying for Summer, after you've claimed your student email account in myLane, we'll email you a link to complete the vaccination status reporting form. This link will be unique to you, so be sure not to share it with anyone else. Find the latest information on our COVID-19 vaccination page.

If you're applying for Fall, there is no need to complete the vaccination status reporting form. But be sure to sign in to myLane to claim your email. This will be the primary email address we use to communicate with you while you’re a student.

Register for classes in myLane

That's it! You're ready to register! You can register using the myLane button below, and view our class schedule online.

Some classes may have prerequisites or require instructor approval to be added to your schedule. Please contact the department for the class you want to take (i.e. Want to take Math 111 and need approval? Contact the Math Department!) and they can help you understand your options.

If you are an Oregon resident who is 62 or older, you are eligible to receive a Senior Credit Tuition Waiver at Lane Community College.
