ESL Department Placement Testing

All students, no matter their current English ability, can take English as a Second Language classes at Lane Community College. All new students need to take a placement test to determine the best level for them to begin.

Placement tests are given several times before the beginning of each new term. The tests assess a student’s ability in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
