Workforce Development

Get the skills you need to thrive in our local workforce.

The Workforce Development Division houses these departments:

Career Pathways

The Career Pathways Department is dedicated to serving students and community members pursuing short-term, workforce-based training. We support dislocated workers, GED students, English Language Learners, and other individuals wishing to develop technical skills and improve their employment opportunities and economic mobility. We provide holistic support, resource navigation, and coaching to students choosing career technical or basic skills programs at LCC along with both customized or integrated academic options through our Occupational Skills and PASS programs.

Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education (Co-op) Internships are an educational partnership between Lane Community College, the business community, and Lane students. Co-op integrates on-the-job work experience with academic studies. Students earn credit and a grade while working full-time or part-time in positions related to their career and academic goals.

Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts Department houses the Culinary and Baking Program.

Extended Learning

Lane’s Extended Learning Department offers a wide variety of career training, professional development, and personal enrichment classes. Extended Learning classes and trainings are perfect if you want to quickly and affordably gain knowledge, skills, or experience, but may not want to pursue a credit-bearing degree.

High School Connections

Earn college credit while in high school either at Lane or at your own school with our High School Connections programs, College Now and Early College.

Specialized Support Services

Specialized Support Services (S3) provides job training and education to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
