Business Owners Can Benefit from the Lane Small Business Management Program

September 7, 2018 Jim Grandstaff

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is currently accepting registrations for their award winning Small Business Management (SBM) Program. This business management program runs from September 2018 through June 2019 and is now offered in both Eugene and Florence.

All Small Business Management Programs are designed in the Lane SBDC’s recognizable formula of: education, business coaching and peer interaction. SBM covers business management topics through a customized curriculum, helping business owners or entrepreneurs identify and prioritize outcomes and devise plans to achieve them.

Small Business Management–Foundations consists of three modules: Marketing, Financial and Operations. Business coaching is vital to the success of businesses and helps business owners apply what is taught during class sessions. The SBM’s first year cohort meets for a series of 15 classes over a 10-month period.

SBM programs, supported by community funding, are offered for considerably less than an equivalent private business consultant. The SBM Foundations program cost is $579, with $209 for an additional business associate. This low cost is made possible through community, state and federal funding that saves participants over $2000 per person.
