The Lane Community College Testing Office is committed to providing professional testing services to the school and community. The LCC Testing office follows the National College Test Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.
NOTE: Proctored testing for Lane Community College courses (Instructional Testing Services) is located in the center building, Room 311.
The college uses tests as one of several counseling/advising tools, not merely as a record of performance. Testing Services tries to provide all students an opportunity to discuss their test results with a counselor/advisor who will assist them in exploring the meaning and implications of their test results.
Any current Lane student may use Testing Services, and in many cases people who expect to become Lane students may use it. Students who wish to take vocational interest surveys and personality inventories need to see a counselor to determine if a test is desirable and to get a referral. Students do not need a referral, however, to take GED tests, screening exams conducted for various departments, or the placement tests for new students in reading, writing and math.
Occasionally, in the process of doing research, the college may also require tests of various students or groups of applicants.
How to find us:
The Testing Office is located in Room 116, Building 1 (the Student Services Building).
Building #1 is on the west side of the campus near the bus station. If you are standing at the bus station looking at the campus, you will see Building 1 to your right. It has a large lobby with big windows and a curved roof like a ski jump.
Go in the building and walk through the lobby on the first floor. The Testing Office is near the elevator; you will see signs to the Testing Office.
