LCC’s Roger Ebbage honored by Association of Energy Engineers

EUGENE, Ore.– Roger Ebbage, coordinator of the energy management and water conservation programs at Lane Community College, won the Energy Professional Development Award for Region V of the Association of Energy Engineers at its conference this month in Charlotte, NC. Region V includes nine states including Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Ebbage developed the energy management program at Lane into a national model of success. He established partnerships with utilities, agencies, business and industry to provide students with hands-on experience, scholarships, and job opportunities, and to secure financial support for the program.

During his career, Ebbage has received additional recognition including awards from the Association of Professional Energy Managers, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, and the League for Innovation in the Community College.
