What is Graduation?
Graduation is the certifying of degrees and certificates.

Commencement is the annual ceremony Lane has for the graduates it certifies throughout the year. The commencement ceremony is usually held in June.
Your name will appear in the Commencement Program for that school year if you submitted your degree application prior to the deadline.

52nd Annual Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, June 17, 2017.
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lane County Fairgrounds
The Student Life and Leadership Development Department is responsible for coordinating the commencement ceremony for credit students and GED graduates. The primary contact is Tina Lymath (541) 463-5336.
How to participate in the Commencement Ceremony:
Anyone can walk in the commencement ceremony. If your degree coursework is not completed by the end of spring term, your name may not appear in the actual program booklet. You will be able to make your own name card once you are at the fairgrounds. This is how the name reader will know who you are. Please hold on to that card during the ceremony until you get on stage.
Tickets: No tickets are required or issued. This is a public event. Please keep in mind that the hall fills up fast and we are always at capacity.
During the commencement ceremony you will receive your diploma cover only.
Your actual diploma will be mailed to you once your degree requirements have been met and after grades are in. This process can take up to 12 weeks. You do not have to attend commencement to receive your degree or diploma cover. You can pick one up or have a cover and program mailed to you by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (541) 463-5336.
Ceremony order of events:
Graduates please plan to arrive to the fairgrounds at 2:00 p.m. and commence to the performance hall area where you will receive your name and degree card at the Titan store table. The doors will open to guests at 2:30. You will have a chance to visit with your guest and take pictures. If you arrive after 2:30 seating will be limited and you will feel hurried.
*2:30 degree areas will be called and you will line up according to your program. Listen carefully to the instructions as things move quickly.
*3:00 you will march into the Exhibit Hall to be seated for the ceremony. The ceremony takes about an hour and a half. This is a formal event.
Yes you can sit with your friends even it if is not your own degree program.

You will be able to purchase your cap and gown, speak with photographers, order annoucements and get more information about the Commencement Cermony at the Grad Fair May 11, 2016.
Caps, gowns and other regalia will be available for purchase in the Titan Store from May 11 through June 10, 2016 and at the fairgrounds on the day of the ceremony.

- Veterans! - a red, white and blue cord honoring veterans is available to wear at graduation. Available at the Titan Store.
A card with your name and degree program(s) will be ready for you at the fairgrounds in the foyer. This will remain with you during the ceremony. You will hand it to the name reader when you cross the stage to get your degree cover.
Life Touch will be doing the photography for our 2016 event.
