EUGENE, Ore. —  Lane Community College is accepting applications for multiple health professions programs beginning in summer and fall 2025. These limited-entry programs prepare students for high-demand careers in hospitals, clinics, dental offices, and other healthcare settings. Applicants are encouraged to review requirements and submit complete materials before each program's application closing date.

Registered nurses who want to earn a bachelor’s degree can apply to Lane’s new RN to BSN program by August 15. This degree-completion option expands nurses’ skills in research, population health, and health policy. The program prepares graduates for leadership roles and advanced education in public health, education, and administration.

The Dental Assisting program application window closes July 31. This one-year certificate trains students in chairside techniques, dental radiography, sterilization practices, and front-office procedures. Graduates are prepared for roles in private dental offices, community health clinics, and specialty practices such as orthodontics and oral surgery.

The Medical Assistant program application is due by July 22. Students in this one-year certificate program learn to support physicians by performing both administrative and clinical duties. Training covers vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, electronic health records, and patient communication. Certified medical assistants work in outpatient clinics, primary care offices, and urgent care facilities.

The Paramedic program is accepting applications for the summer 2025 cohort through July 17. Students train in advanced emergency care, airway management, trauma response, and medication administration. Paramedics work on ambulances, with fire departments, and in emergency rooms providing critical care in high-pressure environments.

Licensed practical nurses can apply for the LPN to RN Bridge program, which offers an accelerated pathway to becoming a registered nurse. The application closes July 10. This program emphasizes clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, and leadership in diverse healthcare settings. Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam and pursue roles in hospitals, long-term care, and community health.

Health Information Management students learn to analyze and protect patient data, manage electronic health records, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. This associate degree program’s applications are open until September 4 and prepares graduates to work in hospitals, clinics, government agencies, and insurance companies.

Each program has specific eligibility requirements, and selection is competitive. Applicants must first apply to Lane as credit students, then complete a separate health professions application with a nonrefundable $35 fee. Supporting documents such as transcripts and licensure must be submitted by the closing date. Students are encouraged to begin early and work with an academic advisor to stay on track.

Lane’s health professions programs offer hands-on training, expert instruction, and strong job placement rates. Graduates are employed throughout Oregon and beyond, making an impact in their communities through skilled, compassionate care.
