Lane Community College is beginning the new academic year with new opportunities for students, including the launch of its second bachelor’s degree program, the Associate Degree in Nursing to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN to BSN). The program is offered fully online and is designed for licensed registered nurses with an associate degree who want to continue their education and advance their careers. The 19 students enrolled in the RN to BSN program join the college’s existing Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Business Management with 15 new students in the new cohort, expanding the breadth of academic opportunities available to Lane students.
Fall enrollment at Lane currently stands at more than 6,700 students, an increase compared to last year. This marks the third year of sustained growth, reversing a decade of decline and reinforcing the college’s role as a primary access point to higher education in Lane County.
Applications for general admission are still open for fall term. Returning students are also encouraged to apply for the Welcome Back Scholarship, which provides $500 per term for up to three terms, totaling $1,500. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on October 10, 2025. The scholarship supports Lane students who had to pause their studies in spring 2025 or earlier. More information is available at lanecc.edu/welcomeback.
To help students fully immerse in their Titan experience, planned activities during Weeks of Welcome are on tap, including activities for both new and returning students. Faculty and staff guides will be stationed around campus entrances to help students find their classes or simply offer a welcoming face. Events throughout the week are designed for fun, stress relief, and helping students discover the resources they need to succeed.
Welcome Week is sponsored by Northwest Community Credit Union. Additional information about events can be found at lanecc.edu/welcomeweek.
