EUGENE, Ore.—The Lane Community College Art Galleries are pleased to present the work of local photographer and LCC Media Arts faculty member, Jon Christopher Meyers, in an exhibit opening November 6.  An artist talk and reception will be held Monday, Nov. 18, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in the Main Art Gallery.

Jon Christopher Meyers is an award-winning photographer with nearly two decades of professional work experience. His photographs tell compelling stories that are commissioned by magazines, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals. He is particularly adept at creating portraits that connect the viewer to the subject. The photographs in this body of work span an arc of a decade, including his three-year project, “Dreams without Limits: Changing Perceptions about People with Disabilities;” his time spent hiking the Great Divide Trail; and his diverse portfolio as a commercial photographer. The exhibit will be shown in the Main Art Gallery from November 6 to December 6.

The LCC Main Art Gallery is located in building 11 on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene.  The galleries are open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is free.  For more information contact Ellen Osterkamp at artatlane@lanecc.edu or (541) 463-3432.
