Employment Trends

Excellent and varied career opportunities exist for physical therapist assistant graduates. The demand for licensed physical therapist assistants continues to increase in Oregon and throughout much of the United States. Physical Therapist Assistants can elect to practice full time or on a part-time basis. Average wages in Oregon are available through Oregon Employment Department. Earnings of physical therapist assistants are affected by the type of employer, education and experience of the individual, as well as on the geographic location.  

Articulation Agreement

The Physical Therapist Assistant degree program is a distinct School of Professional and Technical Careers program. There are Bachelor's Degree options that accept PTA credits.  Students who are interested in attaining a bachelor's or higher degree are encouraged to work with Academic Advising.
