LCC arts division joins First Friday ArtWalk downtown, April 7

EUGENE, Ore. – The Lane Community College Arts Division is pleased to announce its involvement with the First Friday ArtWalk on April 7 at the Lane Downtown Campus in conjunction with the Center for Meeting and Learning and Culinary Arts. The Arts Division will be showcasing work by students in its fine arts, performing arts, and media arts programs. Fine and media arts students will feature work from their studio courses in two dimensions and three dimensions, as well as multimedia and graphic design.

Dance and music program performances will take place throughout the evening, including “Boundary,” a 20-minute improvisational dance, as well as the LCC Jazz Ensemble, and second-year music student Titus Young, with selections from the solo cello suites by J.S. Bach.

Additionally, students from the culinary arts program will be executing flambé desserts for guests to enjoy. Faculty and students from each program will be on hand to explain the varied educational artistic processes on display. LCC will kick-off the ArtWalk tour at 5:30 p.m., with work on display until 8 p.m.

The Lane Community College Downtown Campus is located at 101 West 10th Avenue, Eugene.
