Welcome to Lane Community College! You have chosen an exceptional institution to guide you through this important journey toward your brighter future. Your success is the college’s first priority and commitment to you.

Lane Community College has a tradition of offering stellar educational opportunities that will allow you to discover, grow, and achieve in your areas of interest. The college offers short-term career pathways, more than 40 associate degrees and certificates for transfer to a university or going directly into the workforce, and courses for personal enrichment. For nearly 60 years, Lane Community College students have become graduates who realized their educational and career aspirations.   
     
Students need flexibility as they pursue higher education and training. At Lane, classes are offered in person, online, and in a mix of online and in person formats to allow you to choose the best learning environment for you. Courses are offered throughout Lane County at the main campus and in downtown Eugene, Florence, Cottage Grove, and at the Lane Aviation Academy (Eugene Airport). Students have access to the support they need to be successful through in person and virtual support options, and new Community Advocacy and Resource Education (CARE) services that help students connect with community resources.

Biography of President Bulger

Dr. Stephanie Bulger - LCC President

Dr. Stephanie Bulger joined Lane Community College as its eighth president on July 1, 2022.  She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Michigan. Her academic background is in literature through a Masters from the University of Utah and Bachelors from Brigham Young University.  
 
Prior to coming to Lane, Dr. Bulger was a vice chancellor at the San Diego Community College District and Wayne County Community College District where she also served in multiple campus and district leadership roles including campus associate dean, dean of distance learning, campus chief academic officer, and associate vice chancellor.  Her experience teaching English and community college leadership courses at colleges and universities has provided her direct insight into the student and faculty experience.
 
Dr Bulger brings to LCC passions for increasing equitable access to college and improving outcomes for community college students. She has served as a consultant on technology trends impacting higher education.  Her writings on the at-risk student, educational technology, innovation, and distance learning have been published in books, industry newsletters, and monographs. Dr. Bulger’s experience working for an educational technology start-up company has influenced her to promote entrepreneurial initiatives that advance learning, student support, and workforce development.
 
In her spare time, Dr. Bulger enjoys hiking, the arts, travel, genealogy, and reading presidential biographies. She enjoys the natural beauty of Lane County and southern Willamette Valley.
