The Spanish Program at LCC offers two years of instruction in Spanish. It is designed to build students' communication skills and confidence in speaking a global language. Spanish is the official language in 21 countries and is spoken by an estimated 500 million people as their native language. Students at Lane study Spanish in diverse cultural contexts, using a proficiency-based model of learning that promotes intercultural competence. Two years of study in Spanish at LCC meets admission and BA graduation requirements of the Oregon University System.
