The Fight for Marriage

Gaby Gardiner is the Lead Statewide Engagement Manager for Basic Rights Oregon. BRO's "mission is to ensure that all LGBTQ2SIA+ Oregonians experience equality by building a broad and inclusive politically powerful movement, shifting public opinion, and achieving policy victories."

LCC students benefit from this extracurricular exploration of Oregon LGBTQ+ history as well as an opportunity to ask questions from a local subject-matter expert. The Gender and Sexuality Alliance, a student organization, also hopes to recruit new members to its organization. The Gender Equity Center hopes to make students more aware of the GEC and its resources.
