EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Community College Public Safety encourages everyone to take advantage of the semi-annual national Prescription Drug Take-Back Day this Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attended drop-off bins will be set up at two Eugene locations: LCC Main Campus, in front of the Building 19 Center for Meeting and Learning; and LCC downtown in front of the Mary Spilde Center at 101 W. 10th Avenue.

Drive up and drop off—no questions asked. Medications for people—or pets—will be accepted (except liquids or needles). Old, expired or unwanted medicines are susceptible to diversion, misuse, abuse or unsafe disposal. Take-Back Day is a convenient and responsible way to dispose of prescriptions drugs to keep them out of the environment and out of the wrong hands. LCC turns over collected medicines to the DEA which incinerates them safely. For more information, contact LCC Public Safety at (541) 463-5558.
