Lane Small Business Development Center Offers Free Advising

EUGENE, Ore. - The Lane Small Business Development Center is offering free advising for pre-venture and established small businesses. Advisors provide expert assistance and can connect business owners with the knowledge and resources to be successful. Advising appointments are available Monday-Friday. Hours vary based on advisor availability.

“Setting up an appointment with an advisor is a great first step toward a successful small business,” said Lida Herburger, director of the Lane Small Business Development Center. “Our advisors have been there, and they provide guidance as well as connections to classes and additional assistance from financing to marketing and business planning.”

All Lane Small Business Development Center advisors bring a passion for helping businesses succeed and have real-world experience in banking, hospitality, marketing, manufacturing, food and beverage, art, music, internet technology, retail sales, the travel industry and more. Each advisor has either owned his or her own business or has worked in a variety of businesses and corporations.

In addition to free business advising, the Lane Small Business Development Center offers a wide range of low-cost, noncredit classes for starting, growing and maintaining a business. Classes include: Ready, Set, Start Your Business, Writing a Business Plan, Fundamentals of Business Bookkeeping, Financial Information Critical to Success and Marketing 101 for Your Business, among others.
