March 26, 2018 Jim Grandstaff

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is launching a new and unique program to assist those who are interested in becoming solo entrepreneurs.

Solo entrepreneurs use their knowledge, passion and life experience to start and run their own businesses. These businesses are unique to the individual and often fit within the person’s lifestyle.

Now, these entrepreneurs can sign up for the SoloPreneur program to learn the skills they need to succeed in business. Participants will meet on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. from April 10 through June 12..

Solo businesses are today’s fastest growing business model. SoloPreneur participants will learn to explore solo business possibilities, reduce their concerns and ease the anxiety that often comes along with starting a new business. With the support of experts, coaches and peers, participants will learn the principles of success and how to apply them to their unique situation.

Instructor Lori Bosteder is a solo business owner, marketing and graphic designer, and business coach and trainer. Bosteder has 35 years of small business experience. As a managing partner in a marketing and design firm, she has worked with numerous organizations and solopreneurs.
