International Orientation and Testing are required for all international students. All students need to complete the Placement Testing, Orientation, & Arrival Form as soon as you have your flight information. Orientation helps prepare students for a successful experience at Lane Community College, and it includes:
- Placement Testing
- Academic Advising
- Class Registration
- Informational Sessions
- Health insurance and safety
- SEVIS immigration regulations
- Student services/resources and myLane
- Housing, events, activities and life in Eugene
- Fun Social Activities
Students who do not attend the complete placement testing and orientation will not be able to register for classes. In this case, students can choose to postpone their admission term.
Students who have successfully completed writing courses at other institutions may be eligible for an online orientation. You will receive information about the online orientation in your email if you are eligible.
