Get Fire-ready in just one week, March 23-27
Get qualified as a Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) under National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) standards and be ready to work this summer.
- Earn training for qualification as a Wildland Firefighter
- Get instruction aligned with national wildland fire standards
- Prepare for controlled burn or seasonal fire work
- Launch your path in wildland fire: from fireline work to GIS, drone operations, and communications
- Serve and protect local landscapes
- Get hands-on, workforce-focused training
After the class, you’ll be ready to work on a fire crew or in related operations roles during fire season. No prior experience required.
This non-credit course will be offered at Lane Community College's main campus this March 23-27, from 9am to 5pm each day. Course fees are $250. Students must be 17 or older in order to enroll.
