LCC board seeks applicants for Zone 1 Budget Committee vacancy
The Lane Community College Board of Education invites applications for appointment for its Zone 1 Budget Committee vacancy. Applicants need not reside in Zone 1, but must be a registered voter residing in the Lane Community College district.
The appointees will serve the remainder of a three-year term which ends June 30th, 2026.

For consideration, documents must be received by the end of business day on April 17, 2026. Late applications will not be considered.
Lane Community College Budget Committee
The Budget Committee consists of seven members of the Board of Education as well as seven citizens from the community. Each board member appoints one citizen to the committee for a term of three years. Terms are staggered so that about one third of the appointed terms end each year. The Budget Committee reviews the proposed budget each fiscal year and makes a recommendation on the budget in accordance with Oregon’s Local Budget Law for final enactment.
Public comment is an important component of the Budget Committee meetings. At most Budget Committee meetings, a period of time is set aside for public comment, and each speaker usually has up to three minutes to share his or her views on the budget. Budget Committee Orientation Sessions
The Lane Community College Budget Office will conduct an orientation sessions for Budget Committee members. The dates and times for these trainings are as follows:
Wednesday, April 22, 2026: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Both training sessions will be held via Zoom and accessible to the public via Lane’s event streaming page.

Meetings are held on LCC's main campus in Building 3, Room 216 unless otherwise noted and are also available for viewing on the college’s event streaming page.
Public comment may be made in person at the meeting and via Zoom webinar by registering in advance. Instructions for registering to provide comment remotely are available in the meeting materials. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar.
