Asian and Pacific Islander Student Program Coordinator Office

Welcome to the Asian and Pacific Islander Student Program Coordinator resource office!

On this website, you will find information about Asian and Pacific Islander American Rites of Passage Program (APIAROP) services at Lane Community College. This service is reflective of Lane's current Diversity Plan, Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Strategic Plans for the College.

The Asian and Pacific Islander American Student Program Coordinator is located in the Conception Connie Mesquita Multicultural Center located in Building 1 inside Room 201.

The Asian and Pacific Islander Student Program supports students at Lane Community College. The program's goals are to help students make a smooth transition in navigating college life. The program helps students identify available resources, provides follow-up services, and offers a variety of opportunities to learn about Asian and Pacific Islander culture, values, and traditions.

Available resources include:

Referral services for academic, personal and career counseling. Group social interaction through campus events and student engagement. Sponsorship and support for student organizations on campus for Asian and Pacific Islander American students. Liaison between students and local education programs

The program coordinator serves as an on-campus advocate for the students between admissions, financial aid, Lane faculty, and other departments. In addition, the program provides information on the availability of appropriate scholarships.

To view a list of student engagement activities or to learn more about current and upcoming workshops and campus events, see the APISU page.
