Employee Walk/Jog Groups
Are you looking for a walking partner or group? Or perhaps a jogging buddy?
All employees can join and if you are a classified employee, you have Wellness Release Time for up to one hour each week. You can use this release time for Employee Wellness classes, the Fitness Education Center and these informal walk/jog groups. The employee should discuss with their manager how to flex their time to cover the additional class time. Employees are expected to work collaboratively with their manager to make arrangements for attending classes and prior to enrolling in any credit course during the employee’s normal work hours.
Contact any of your following colleagues to join a walk or jog group:
Russ Carr or firstname.lastname@example.org for walking at the main campus
Austin Fisher or email@example.com for downtown walking (he's at the Wildish Building)
Robin Geyer or firstname.lastname@example.org for walking at the main campus
Anna Scott or email@example.com for walking 3x a week for 20 minutes, at 12:30 p.m. (Mon,Wed, Fri preferred days) at the main campus
Cassie Zimmerlee or firstname.lastname@example.org for jogging Wednesdays at noon at the main campus
If you are using your release time, but not participating in an employee wellness class or in the Fitness Education Center, please register for CRN 33536 (the CRN says "Walk/Jog Wellness"). This will help us track who is using the benefit and will support your Employee Wellness Program in continuing to offer classes for you.
