**** IMPORTANT CHANGES: New for Spring 2014!- PLEASE READ****
*Students who have completed their degrees or certificates from summer 2013, fall 2013, and winter 2014 and those who have been cleared to graduate for spring term 2014, after submitting the degree application by May 20th, will have their names in the 2014 Commencement Ceremony brochure.
*Students who will earn their degrees or certificates after spring term 2014 may participate in the 2014 Commencement Ceremony, but their names will appear in the 2015 Commencement Ceremony brochure if they have earned a degree in the 2014-2015 academic year. Students will receive their reader cards at the Fairgrounds on June 14, 2014 when they arrive to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
*Students who will be graduating after spring term 2014 will be able to complete a card to be read before the ceremony begins.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER CONTEST: Each year a guest speaker is selected via a keynote speaker contest. The winner will give the commencement speech and receive $100.00. The Student Life and Leadership Development Department is responsible for the commencement ceremony for credit students and GED graduates. Lane credit and GED program graduation ceremonies will take place the Saturday following finals week on June 14, 2014 at the Lane County Fairgrounds in Downtown Eugene. During the commencement ceremony you will get your diploma cover. Your actual diploma will be mailed to you.
The Student Life and Leadership Development staff coordinates the ceremony but there are other departments and steps involved in the process. The following information will help you get ready.
Commencement for Credit, Certificate and GED students will be on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Lane County Fairgrounds and Event Center in the Exhibit Hall. Graduates please plan to arrive to the fairgrounds at 2:00 p.m. and commence to the performance hall area where you will receive your name and degree card at the Titan store table. The doors will open to guests at 2:30. You will have a chance to visit with your guest and take pictures. If you arrive after 2:30 seating will be limited and you will feel hurried.
*2:30 degree areas will be called and you will line up according to your program. Listen carefully to the instructions as things move quickly.
*3:00 you will march into the Exhibit Hall to be seated for the ceremony. The ceremony takes about an hour and a half. This is a formal event.
Yes you can sit with your friends even it if is not your own degree program.

There are no tickets issued but we ask that you bring no more than four guests as seating is limited.
