Arts & Culture

As the community's college, Lane is committed to providing experiences to both students and community members to help develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the arts and culture.

Lane offers more than college classes, career training, and professional development. Lane has been a member of the Eugene/Springfield community since 1964, and since then, we’ve proudly showcased art, dance, theatre, music, and visiting speakers who share their expertise. Whether it’s an interactive art exhibit that allows you to participate in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony or an award-winning original rock opera play, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Arts & Cultural Events

Every year, we host a variety of events that bring the community together. Some of our flagship events include the Harvest Dinner & Auction, the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, and the Native American Pow-Wow.

Art Galleries & Residency

Our art galleries, located on the ground floor of Building 11, showcase art created by students and faculty, as well as regional, national, and international artists. The Lane Art Galleries is also the home of the Jane Stevens King Residency, which helps bring notable artists to the community and provides students the opportunity to learn directly from art professionals. Learn more about the Lane Art Galleries.

While on campus visiting the galleries, you can also take an “Art on Campus” walking tour to view Lane’s outdoor sculptures, murals, paintings, and gardens. Visit campus and use this map to take your personal tour.
