Barbara Delansky, Ph.D.
Associate Dean of Student Affairs:
Student Life and Leadership Development, Multicultural Center and Women's Programs
Barbara has primary responsibilities for student life and leadership development, multicultural center and the women's program. She holds a bachelor's degree in Education from SUNY at Cortland, a master's degree in outdoor recreation administration from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in leisure studies from the University of Oregon. Dr. Delansky has held several state and national leadership positions, and served as co-chair of the campus life and program management education council for the Association of College Unions International.
While at Lane she has initiated programs and supervised staff in student activities, student leadership, childcare, student government, student legal services, multicultural programs, graduation, and serves as a Judicial Advisor for student conduct and complaints. In addition, she also served as interim division chair for health, physical education and athletics from 2006 through 2008. Prior to coming to Lane, Dr. Delansky held faculty positions at the University of Oregon and at South Dakota State University
