Applying for Admission
See the list below to determine the type of student you are:
Credit Students: Credit students take classes that either lead to a degree/certificate or are accepted towards degree eligibility for transfer to another college/university.
Who is accepted? Lane accepts all students 18 or over, or students under 18 who have a high school diploma or GED. Students who are under 18 and have not graduated may still attend if they follow the guidelines for Under 18 Students.
Is there a deadline to apply? There is no application deadline for general admission to Lane. However, new credit students to Lane must complete all "Steps to Enroll" (including New Student Information Session online, Placement Testing/Academic Advising) prior to the first day of the term, or will need to wait until the following term. Most classes fill quickly, so we encourage you to apply at least three months before registration begins for the term you wish to attend.
What if I know someone who cannot apply online? If you are unable to apply online, you may: Download and submit the paper admissions form.
Non-Credit/Continuing Education Students: Personal interest or professional licensure classes that do not award college credit
International Students: Studying on any non-immigrant visa (view a list of visa types that qualify as International Admissions) and you wish to take International English as a Second Language or credit level classes.
College Now: Current high school students taking classes at your high school for Lane Community College credit.
