"First Time in College" New Student Academic Advising Sessions
Lane Community College provides New Student Academic Advising Sessions for "First Time In College" students. You will learn about Lane degrees, certificates and transfer programs, as well as plan your first term classes.
Before scheduling your appointment, be sure to complete the following steps:
- Create an email account
- Apply for Admission (to get your L#)
- Apply for Financial Aid
- Schedule and take your Placement Testing
- Initiate your myLane account and complete the New Student Information Session
Fall term 2014: (Fall classes begin September 29)
If you are new to Lane and have never been to college before, welcome, you are on the right page! If you are planning to attend Fall term classes and have scheduled and completed your placement tests, your next step is to schedule your New Student Academic Advising Session. New Student Academic Advising Sessions for Fall term continue through September 26 on the main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave. Eugene, OR. Students choosing the online option have different deadlines.*
Bring paper & pencil, Placement test scores, your L number, current Lane catalog if you have one, and any questions you may have about beginning classes. Following your New Student Academic Advising Session, your next step will be to register for summer or fall term classes in myLane.
