Financial Assistance Information
With accelerated professional programs that are limited to 1-2 years, financial help can often make the difference in success by limiting the amount you have to juggle while in school. Here are some resources to aid you in the process of finding available funds to offset the cost of the Dental Assisting program and credentialing board exams. Be sure to review all links, as they may provide different options.
Scholarship Information
Jan Malone Scholarship
In addition to other scholarship and financial resources, dental assisting program students are also able to apply for the Jan Malone scholarship early in Winter term. This scholarship was designed specifically for dental assisting students to help offset the cost of associated board exams. Each year, 2-3 $750 scholarships are awarded to current students who show an aptitude for becoming a real asset to the local dental community. The awards are based on a combination of points achieved from Fall term academic scores, Fall term lab and clinical skill assessment, and answers to questions regarding public service. The scholarship is funded by local doctors that want to assist great assistants in getting their credentials to work in our community. Information on this scholarship will be provided to program students by the Program Coordinator at the end of Fall term.
