CLEP Testing Information
The College Board's College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) are a collection of nationally standardized examinations, covering 33 different subject areas. CLEP is accepted for credit by 2,900 colleges and universities and administered in more than 1,800 test centers. This rigorous program allows students from a wide range of ages and backgrounds to demonstrate their mastery of introductory college-level material and earn college credit.
Currently, Lane offers credit on 22 of the 33 exams, passing scores and actual course equvalencies can be found here:
CLEP credits do not directly transfer from Lane, but testing scores can be used at other institutions. Check with your institution before taking the test.
The CLEP exam fee is currently $87 (Increases to $89 on July 1, 2019). Military service members may be eligible for free exams (Check Eligibility).
Lane testing office assess a $26 fee for proctoring of each CLEP test, bringing the total cost of each exam to $113. Testing and proctoring fees are paid separately.
Steps to take the test
Register for the CLEP exam you wish to take at Lane Community College testing office: Register for CLEP.
Once you complete registration, you will receive a Ticket ID which will allow us to launch your testing session. Please bring this Ticket ID with you to your testing appointment.
Schedule a testing date with Lane and pay the $26 proctoring fee: RegisterBlast CLEP. Testing slots are available (on most) Mon, Wed, and Fri at 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM.

The Testing Office is located in Building 1, Room 116 at Lane Community College Main Campus, 4000 East 30th Avenue, Eugene, Or.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled testing time. Depending on availability, late arrival may result in loss of proctoring fee and scheduling testing for another date/time.
CLEP ID Requirements:
You must show two forms of ID to be admitted to the testing room; primary and secondary.
Your primary ID must be government-issued and include your name, signature, and a recognizable photograph. Acceptable forms of primary ID include: Current driver's license, State or federal ID card, Current passport, Military ID with photo and signature, Tribal ID, Naturalization card or certificate of citizenship.
Acceptable forms of secondary ID include: Employee photo ID, College ID, Credit card, Social Security card, Military ID with signature only.
After testing, you will be asked to present your Photo ID, after which your scores will be provided to you.
