Native American Student Association

Haku Li'ya! (Hello, everyone!) - We are the Native American Student Association (NASA) at Lane Community College. We aim to provide a community for Indigenous students and contribute to our community.

The Native American Student Association (NASA) of Lane Community College assists American Indian, Alaskan Natives, and Indigenous peoples in maintaining cultural values while pursuing their educational goals. NASA emphasizes the support, safety, and the educational success of the Native Americans and other ethnicities of Lane Community College. NASA is also involved in the recruitment of Native American high school students and the retention of college students as they pursue their Post-Secondary Education.

Meeting Time and Events

NASA meets on a date (excluding national holidays) that best fits the larger portion of the Native American Student Association student’s schedules and availability. Be aware that these times differ from term to term, so presence at meetings is the best way to make certain NASA can fill your needs for your participation. Our meetings take place in our Native American Longhouse located on the Northwest corner of the main campus next to the Medical Building. During these meetings, we go over the intended activities. We enjoy student collaboration. We fill the needs for students who desire help. We enjoy leisure and relaxation time, and we have occasional potluck style meals or meals paid for through the NASA budget. Please come and join to explore the organizational opportunities that surround our NASA club.

NASA welcomes all people and does not restrict membership on the basis of race, creed, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, sex, age, political view, or any other extraneous considerations. We abide by all Lane Community College and Oregon State System of Higher Education regulations governing student groups; NASA is an equal opportunity organization.
