Course Variations

Online

This class is for the independent learner with all lessons, quizzes, and homework done online with a web based system.  Exams might be done on paper during scheduled times on campus. Instructors are available during office times or through emails for questions. For more information visit LaneOnline.

MyMathLab

This class requires use of MyMathLab, an interactive web-based math learning tutorial and assessment system. Instructors will assign work using this system and may use it for testing purposes. Also, it is useful as a study aid to supplement classroom instruction. MyMathLab access comes bundled with new textbooks purchased at the Titan Bookstore (while supplies last), and may also be purchased separately online.

Math Resource Center

This is a variable credit class setting without an instructor. Instead of meeting in a classroom, students will work independently with assistance from tutors in the Math Resource Center (MRC). Tests are computer based. To enroll, students must meet the course prerequisites, attend an orientation session on one of the first two days of the term, and obtain instructor permission to enroll after orientation. For more information visit the Math Resource Center.

WebAssign

This class requires use of WebAssign, an interactive web-based math learning tutorial and assessment system. Instructors will assign work using this system and may use it for testing purposes. Also, it is useful as a study aid to supplement classroom instruction. WebAssign access comes bundled with new textbooks purchased at the Titan Bookstore (while supplies last), and may also be purchased separately online.

Note: Classes with the same course number cover the same topics and have the same objectives and grading standards regardless of instructional format.
